When ordering on www.24bottles.com, you - as customer - are responsible for assuring that the products can be lawfully imported to the destination. The recipient - as the importer of the products - must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination; additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled exclusively by the recipient.
Orders shipped outside the EU may be subjected to import taxes, customs duties and fees applied by the destination country.
We would like to inform you that from August 21st, 2024, the Turkish Ministry of Finance has introduced new regulatory updates to support the competitiveness of local businesses against foreign eCommerce platforms:
- the duty threshold for B2C (Business-to-Consumer) imports has been reduced from €150 to €30;
- the duty rate (%) for B2C and B2B (Business-to-Business) imports has been increased from 20% to 30% for EU countries and from 30% to 60% for non-EU countries.
As a result of the regulatory change, for B2C shipments with a value of more than €30, the same process as previously applied for shipments with a value of €150 to €1,500 remains valid.
In order for carriers to proceed with the customs clearance of each shipment, it is necessary to obtain authorisation from the consignee (and you become the "importer"). The consignee/importer is always contacted directly by the carrier to proceed with the broker recommended by the same carrier or to appoint his own broker.
